Healthy is taking charge of me

Sometimes getting to the ideal self requires the help of an experienced friend. Let’s get there together.

Weight Loss Surgery

Perhaps no other medical condition has been more misunderstood than obesity.

According to the National Institutes of Health (NIH) consensus report and numerous other scientific reports, morbid or clinically severe obesity is a serious disease and must be treated as such.

Studies have shown that the only way for people who are 100 or more pounds overweight to lose weight successfully and maintain that weight loss is through bariatric, or weight loss surgery, plus nutritional counseling and exercise.

Our approach is about you.

At NEA Baptist, we consider surgical treatment for weight loss to be a very serious undertaking and should be considered only after other conservative methods have failed. As a potential surgery patient, you must weigh the risks of the operation against the risks associated with remaining massively obese.

We make a long-term commitment to our patients, and in turn, expect that they make a long term commitment to their health and this program. You must understand that the surgery is only a part of the total treatment for obesity.

Our technology is the best.

Laparoscopic Procedures: Most RYDGB procedures can be performed laparoscopically or with minimally invasive surgery. Laparoscopic procedures produce smaller incisions, allow for a shorter hospital stay and provide a quicker recovery.
