Audiology assessments can be done on newborns to geriatrics. From this information, it can be ascertained if a newborn baby’s hearing thresholds is within normal limits.

- completely-in-the-canal hearing aids (enhances listening in noisy situations)
- auditory brainstem response (to assess the integrity of the hearing nerve and the brainstem).
- open fit hearing aids (behind the ear)
