The Asthma Center is a division of the NEA Baptist Clinic's Pulmonary department. The physicians, nurses, and a registered respiratory therapist educate and treat persons who have asthma. Asthma is a chronic, inflammatory disorder of the airways. It is manifested by mucus-filled, swollen, constricted airways that cause wheezing, breathlessness, chest tightness, and airflow limitation.
